AUTUMN FASHIONS IN THE BIG APPLE
New York City Natural Sound Duration: 2.40″
Sixty New York fashion designers, headed by Donna Karan, Caroline Herrera and Adrianne Vittadini, marked the arrival of Spring
in the Big Apple by showing their Autumn collections. Karan unveiled her lower-priced line, DKNY, which consitituted a lesson in how to wear black — from body-hugging leather and fake Persian lamb jackets to simple satin evening dresses and nylon mini-trench coats. Vittadini showed her trade-mark wearable sweaters, and featured faux zebra and ponyskin slim pants and skirts. Herrera went for a more sophisticated line-up with tight suits and dresses cut above the knee.
